In the final lesson students will be using a Laser Cutter. This will mainly be used for the face of the clock to create its shape and everything that will show up on the surface. For more information about how it is used follow this link. For information on the programs and processes involved in using the laser cutter, follow this link.
The clock hands that students will be making to compliment their clock face will be created with a 3D Printer. This link will tell you general information about the 3D Printer, and this link will give you a tutorial on actually using the machine.
Students will have to know Raster vs. Vector images. Raster images are made up of many pixels to create an image, while vectors are lines and curves that can be infinitely enlarged without losing its quality.
